TreeWorks was so proud to be amongst the record number of trucks in the annual Convoy for Cancer last Sunday. Our truck was supporting Kim Hobday, a cousin of Rachel in our office.
Four hundred trucks and 300 motorcycles crawled their way between Queanbeyan and Exhibition Park in Canberra to raise money for families touched by a cancer diagnosis. The assistance can be anything from food or fuel vouchers, household bills, medical bills or entry to local events so families can enjoy a fun day out.
Our driver Ed Shaw said he was proud to be part of the convoy which raised over $200,000 to support vulnerable families. 100 per cent of this goes to the families as the support group has funding from the ACT government to cover the running costs of the foundation.
Thank you Ed for giving up your Sunday for a great cause.
